Peak +7 Progesterone (P+7)
Peak +7 Progesterone (P+7) is the primary mid-luteal progesterone measurement in NaProTECHNOLOGY. The draw is timed to the seventh day after the Creighton Model FertilityCare System (CrMS) Peak Day, corresponding to the approximate peak of corpus luteum function in a normal ovulatory cycle.
In healthy ovulatory cycles, the P+7 value is expected to be the highest of the serial luteal-phase draws. Values are interpreted against Hilgers-established normative ranges to assess the adequacy of corpus luteum function. A suboptimal P+7 result may indicate luteal phase deficiency, a finding the treating clinician evaluates within the full context of the patient's luteal hormone profile, not in isolation.
This cycle-timed approach distinguishes RRM hormonal assessment from a single randomly timed progesterone draw. Anchoring the measurement to a confirmed cycle landmark produces clinically interpretable data where a random draw does not.
